Permit Applications

Foreign Carrier Permit

*Charges for the issue of Foreign Carrier Permits became active in Guernsey on the 14th February 2019. Charges for Jersey became active on the 6th March 2019.

Under the Jersey Air Navigation (Law) 2014, Part 15, Article 105 and The Air Navigation (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Foreign Aircraft Operations) Regulations, 2019. Operators of aircraft registered in a foreign country require a Foreign Carrier Permit in order to undertake commercial air transport to and from the Bailiwick of Jersey or Guernsey.

Aerial Work Permit

Aerial work means an aircraft operation or Small unmanned aircraft operation in which an aircraft is used for the purpose of providing specialised services. These include but are not limited to mapping, surveying, filming or imagery, observation, surveillance, patrol, inspection, parachute jumping etc. Under the Air Navigation (Jersey) Law 2014, Article 52 Regulation of Small Unmanned Aircraft, and Article 97 Aerial Work Operations and under the Air Navigation (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2012,Chapter 5, 37. Regulation of Small Unmanned Aircraft, and Chapter 8, 70. Grant of Aerial Work Certificates. An aerial work permit is required and must be granted before any operation commences.
